Pictures... And -- oh! -- more pictures! I'm doing my best to upload them all... Check 'em out at http://www.flickr.com/photos/jewjewbee/sets... Off to see the Vegas strip! Later days...
Man, it's been nice here... I even went swimming yesterday! (Although some of my family here thought it was cold enough to warrant jeans and even long sleeves)... Boogie has been relatiely well behaved, and I have tons of pictures already -- http://www.flickr.com/photos/jewjewbee/sets -- of all the fun we've been having... No guarantee that I will be back online before we get home, though... We have a whole lot more fun (Grand Canyon, sliding rock, Hoover Dam, old western town, general Vegas attractions, etc.) planned for the days ahead!!! Later days...
Tonight, I am having a night out with some of my librarian friends -- Nice and I decided to call our group the "League of Lame Librarians"... I know it's lame -- hell, that's in the name! But that's the point... We are lame, in the opinions of some people, but we have fun with each other and that is all that matters... We know that we are definitely going out to eat, but we are not even sure where... Doesn't matter... I had an awesome dinner out with Clark last night, and I will even be watching a movie and spending the night at Nice's house tonight... This is definitely a much-needed, much-welcomed break from "reality"... Later days...
The first big storm this year really helps us appreciate our new snowblower... We went from completely snowed in to completely cleared out in about an hour... Awesome! After we were done working, it was time for some serious playing...
Not necessarily looking forward to having to clear everything out again in less than 24 hours, but at least we know it won't take a huge amount of time or back-breaking effort... Definitely a worth-while investment... Later days...
I read an article yesterday about how too many kids do not play outside often enough... Between TV, video games, and lazy parents, a lot of kids are stuck inside all of the time... Boogie, luckily, is not one of them... At his daycare, they take the kids outside every day if it is above 20 degrees (F)... Granted, they keep them inside if it is raining or wicked hot, but they basically believe that kids need fresh air... Clark and I are also of the mind that kids need fresh air, and we had a really fun morning of playing outside... We took a walk/trike ride down the street... We played baseball, football, soccer, and tag... We even raked up the leaves together -- and Boogie got a chance to play in his "playground" and sand box while Clark and I finished up... I love mornings like this! And, hopefully all of this activity will also mean that Boogie will take an early nap so that he will be agreeable during our family portraits this afternoon... ::fingers crossed:: Later days...
Teen Read Week is officially underway and we had our "LOL @ Your Library" party this afternoon... What's that mean?!? Well, I got paid to eat an ice cream sundae, play Mad Libs, tell corny jokes, and watch video clips on YouTube... My job rocks! Later days...
Holy shit, that was a funny freakin' movie! Clark and I laughed so hard, I am sure we lost a couple of pounds... We also had fun at Fatgod and Uncle Ninja's house before and after the movie... BBQ + Guitar Heroine = FUN! Teeheehee... I didn't fall asleep until somewhere around 4am, but at least I got to sleep in until about 10am... Clark is the best... And so is his sister -- who took the boy overnight... Yeah... Definitely shaping up to be one of the best birthdays ever!!! Later days...
In about 20 minutes, we will be off for the Renaissance Fair, and I cannot wait! Boogie even woke up early on his own, so that saved me from having to wake a cranky toddler... Awesome! I will probably post pictures tomorrow, since we will be dead tired when we get home tonight... But you never know, I guess... Maybe tonight... Later days...
The Renaissance Fair is tomorrow, and I am really excited... There are lots of fun performers, some really great food, and it's just plain fun to dress up in the first place... Clark is pretty much done with his kilt, and he did an awesome job! It's a traditional kilt, so it looks kinda like a jumper, though... Teeheehee... But it's cute, and he looks cute in it, and I can't wait to take pictures of the whole get-up tomorrow... Boogie has a bunch of costume stuffs to dress up in, and I do too, so we will be one cute family! Later days...
