What a pain in the butt... I tried to make a quick post from the Wii tonight, but the selector would not recognize that I needed the keyboard when I clicked in the post area... Bah... So much for "being lazy" and posting without the laptop tonight... I forget what I was even gonna post... Whatever... Later days...
So, a few weeks ago, Clark and I were making fun of the headlines about people getting hurt while playing the Wii... It seems we, apparently, spoke too soon... When he started getting really into the boxing game, Clark was complaining that his back hurt... Then, last week, we were bowling with Clark's family... I got a strike and raised my left fist in victory -- only to crash into the corner of the drop ceiling... Luckily, my left hand is not my throwing hand, but it still hurt pretty bad... Tonight, I made a definite effort not to stand too far to the left -- so I would not be near where the ceiling drops down lower -- but it didn't matter... After a particularly stunning strike, I simultaneously jumped and rose my left fist in victory -- which caused me to punch the regular height ceiling... And I hit it hard... Yeah... It hurt pretty bad... Now, I have trashed two of the knuckles on my left hand by playing the Wii and I also tore up the top of my pointer finger (on my right hand) when I was putting the garbage can back into its cabinet... Grrr... I hate it when my hands are all busted up in the winter... Now, the cold is just gonna keep them cracking and stuff... As Boogie would say, "Aww, man!" Hope everyone else out there is doing ok... Later days...
I am currently a bit perturbed... I went to Walmart this morning for cat food and hoagie rolls, but I didn't think to look for any Wii controllers... Apparently, one of our friends saw one this evening when he went there, but he didn't know we wanted one, or he would have picked it up... Grrrr... So, now I am bidding on controller bundles (includes a regular controller and a nunchuck) on eBay... I have two bids running now... Let's hope I win one! (I suppose two would be OK, but I would prefer to only have to pay for one)... I already won Clark a black Wii controller and nunchuck cover set and I won myself a pink one... I am feeling lucky... ::fingers crossed:: ... Later days...
Yeah... Don't know if I will ever get sick of bowling on the Wii... Teeheehee...I have always loved bowling, and now I don't even have to worry about a heavy ball aggravating my tendinitis... W00t! This morning was pretty rough because Boogie woke up at 6:45am -- after not taking a nap at daycare yesterday... Let's just say that he was a bit too cranky to deal with... It was especially tough when the cable guy was here, because Boogie watched him go into the basement and then wasn't allowed to follow... Needless to say, naptime was spent on Mommy Wii therapy... I brought my Mii up to "pro" on bowling -- and I did it with a personal record... I scored 245 -- and had SEVEN STRIKES IN A ROW!!! I took a picture, of course... Now, I have a pretty new ball (with stars on it), and I am loving it! OK... Gotta go cheer on my hubby as he tries to make pro too! Teeheehee... Love my geeky marriage! Later days...
So, I totally said that Clark would have to wait until we did our taxes, but I let him get a Wii this morning... Yup... You read right... Clark is now the proud owner of his very own Wii... Basically, he fixed the ceiling tiles in the basement and cleaned up all the wiring inside the drop ceiling without being asked so that we could rearrange the basement before we get cable on Wednesday... Then, he found out that the local K-Mart would have 2 Wii systems this morning, and actually woke up early on a day off... I couldn't say no after all of that, right?!? Besides, I really wanna play the Wii too! Teeheehee... We are so bad... But, still... We will be calling this week to schedule our appointment for taxes, so it's not too early, per se... Yeah... I am a sucker for Clark... But what wife doesn't want to see her hubby this happy?!? By the way -- Clark is only "spooning" the Wii in response to a co-worker's random comment the other day... <Clinton voice>He will not be having sexual relations with that system, the Nintendo Wii</Clinton voice>... Teeheehee... Later days...
I am Wii-lly addicted to the new Nintendo gaming system... It's bad... Clark and I went to Masseuse and Brain's house for brunch, and I played Wii Sports games pretty much all day... Clark and Brain kept complaining that the women were doing too well, but I think they were just jealous... Clark went so far as to say that he thinks I DID get my hands on a Wii and have been hiding it so I can practice awhile before he gets his hands on it... Teeheehee... Too bad he's wrong! That would be awesome... But, yeah... There were some women there who were old enough to be my mom and gramma, and they were playing too... They were awesome! OMG... I just saw this on someone else's post... (Gotta love how Vox sucks you in after you post, huh?!?) We totally need to get a Wii soon!

Yeah... I played with one today... And Clark hasn't even touched one yet! Unless, I suppose, if you count the time he rubbed his "package" on the plexiglass case surrounding the Wii at the Nintendo Store in NYC... I rule! Teeheehee... He was soooo mad when I told him... He said he had "liquid, boiling lava" in his veins because of it... I guess I am glad that I told him over the phone! Teeheehee... On the bright side, though, this totally guarantees that I am going to let him buy one... It - was - awesome!!! I played Excite Truck and I barely had to move my wrist to steer... I did so well (i.e. beat the pants off the guy I played against) that he didn't even believe that I hadn't played on one before... It must be my calling... LOL! Later days!
